TC88 frame change ?

Did HD change the frame between 2001-2005...? this would be a touring frame...
I thought they did in 2009 to account for the underneath crossover vut were all the same for all of the FLHT-baggers
 
Harley was changing the dyna frame every couple years it seems, nothing major.Just enough so seats weren't interchangable.Playing with engine mount set ups.Dyna was their test mule.the good stuff was passed on to other bikes.

No.
FL (touring) frames are the same from '97 thru '08, and '09 - current. Same does not mean exact, there's small differences between some years.
 
The reason I asked is because I overheard a Master Tech at a dealership tell the write up man who in turn told a customer that a stroked early TC88 to TC103 CID would not fit into a 2005 touring frame because the frame was changed between 1999 and 2005...I know a Softail (B) engine will not fit in a touring/dyna (A) engine frame...
 
Well, if a dealership Master Tech said so, it must be true! :lolrolling
