Trike Time (getting old bites sometimes)

Well I'm finally considering a trike after having my best half inadvertently fall sideways off my UC while stopped at the end of her sister's gravel driveway. She's recuperating with a fractured shoulder.
Debating whether I spend the money on converting my '09 or go with a new Tri Glide. Thanks to the current exchange rate, I'm looking at over $15G for the conversion while a new TG will be a bit over $50G. My '09 has a bit over 108,000 kms (67,000+ miles) and has been pretty trouble free until this spring; loose contacts at the TAC put me in limp mode for a bit. That's repaired.

I know that age thing. I was barely able to get my Electra Glide back upright when a moment of inattention doing parking lot warm ups caused a tip over. I must ask how/what is falling off sideways?

My brother Jack in FL is on his 3rd Harley trike and loves it, no more putting your feet down but takes a little to get used to.They do ride much differently than 2 wheels for sure.

We were leaving Froggie's sister's farm. Had to stop at the end of her gravel driveway which had a slant to the left and a high center ridge. When I stopped and had my feet down, the bike tilted slightly to the left and Froggie hadn't prepared for it so overreacted forcing us to tilt further. She still doesn't know how she threw herself sideways off the bike. We think it may be a combination of not paying attention and the new Ultimate Seat that I installed. That and with doing long haul, my legs aren't getting the workout they used to so they're getting weaker.
The Ultimate Seat passenger portion sits about an inch or so higher than either the Hammock and OE seats I had on before.
She does like the new seat better than both of those though.

Rates are outta sight these days.A good rate is around 7% now. I mean usually 1.9 to 4.9 have been the norm for years. It's more than just a couple bucks a month difference,if you finance it.

Get a trike and don't look back I am on my 3rd Freewheeler now and racking up the miles

I have added a lot of chrome touches to my 21 and do all of the wrenching on it still:cool:
