Triple Tree Kit

Was looking at the chrome triple tree kit for my bike. Do the forks need to be removed in order to install the tree and fork brace? I wasn't sure since they are secured to the front wheel. I was thinking if you had another person to support the forks while they were quickly swapped to the new tree, it might save lots of time, or is this not possible or safe? Thanks.

Not sure what you are asking here, but I wouldn't attempt to change these out with the bike being fully supported on bike lift, removing the weight on the forks. I would

a. remove the front wheel.
b. remove the forks
c. replace the chromed triple tree
d. refit the forks
e. refit the front wheel
