There was an electronics change(On the Bikes) after '07, so be sure you specify your year clearly, so you won't have problems. One of my riding friends wanted to do the same thing via HD speedometer and ran into issues. Dakota Digital is probably your better route (Excellant Co & reps)

got a similar question......is there a speedo available for my 1986 Heritage Softail? Sometimes I have a hard time locating some stuff due to the age of my scoot.
