I have a stage 1 intake on my carb. Before I can put a rain sock on she has sucked in a little water and sputtered. What sort of damage could be done.

Welcome to The Forum, If the engine sputtered and still runs you will be fine, if the engine stalls you would want to pull the plugs and turn the engine over to pump the water out. The pistons could not compress all this water with out possible bending a valve
