06 softtail standard starts /wont accl.

It doesn't sound like a cable problem since it pops and dies when you try to accelerate. to check if throttle plate is opening take off air cleaner and twist your throttle and look down throttle body and see if they open.


I think Don has the right Idea it sounds more like it is a fuel delivery problem.

Do clear the codes and see if the serial data codes come back after running the Bike.

This is how My 2008 Road King acted when fuel filter housing cracked causing loss of fuel pressure.It would idle ,but die on acceleration.
