08 Road King Won't Start

Same thing happened on my 06 King. Bad ground wire from starter. Broken inside the shield. You could not see it.

Didn't ride for about a month (Major Bummer) got home 08 Road King would not start, nothing no turn of the engine, zip. Fuel bump activated as normal, lights burned bright but not even a turn of the engine. Replaced the battery, checked the fuses, still nodda....Any glues?

Check the green wire @ the starter for corrosion and make sure it has a good connection, this is the solenoid wire that engauges the starter, also check the starter bolts to make sure they are tight and check the grounds:s

JohnRKC06, did the lights come on, the fuel pump kick in, etc. If so then it may very well be the ground wire

Yes it did. Everthing worked but the starter. The dealership even replaced the 1 starter thinking it was that.While getting ready to replace the starter again is when they decided to run a jumper ground.You could bend the wire one way & it worked fine, bend it another way nothing. Good Luck
