but what I don't understand is why one dealer wants $350.00 with syn. oil and the other only charges $220.00 for the same thing. What gives?

It's called greed. They charge what they want and if the customer pays it instead of going elsewhere, then they make a good profit.

The reason is like Glider said greed and difference in hours of labor charged.
Plus the more expensive dealer is probably listing more items to be service above what Harley recommends just to make additional charges sound good.

In 40 years i never took a bike in except for warranty work, And that was only with one Trike [can am] But with the TG they made me an offer i couldn't refuse, First and Second service no charge, Just pay for oil and filter. [60 dollars]
