2010 5th gear

My 07 ultra whines a little in 1st and a little less in 5th. I like the first gear whine because I know I am already in 1st gear be fore I let out the clutch instead of "stomping blanks". 5th gear I really do not mind either again I know what gear I am in. I guess its all in what you get used to. I had a guy riding an older RK that asked me " So, how do you like haveing a 6 speed?" Love it!! Its a 5 speed with over drive. Never even hit 6th unless I am 70 or higher.

I agree but mine seems to be getting quieter now and harder to hear 5th
 
Doesn't bother me, mine is very faint, put the radio on and it is gone. I would rather have the straight cut as I do most of my riding in 5th and in theory a straight cut should last longer.
