Just to be serious for a minute and to stop the flow of these jokes;seeing as H-D has trouble meeting noise and emission
standards through out the world,anyone ever considered putting make up on a V-ROD motor and stuffing it in an air cooled frame?It could be made to look a lot the same.:rider

That would be a terrible move, the water cooled engines sound so different that the first time anyone fired it up they would realize that the engine was designed by Porsche and the bike just wouldn’t have the same appeal as all of the rest of the Harley line. the sound is one reason that harley is famous and the V-ROD sounds like a TL 1000R, or SV 1000s, or even a RC-51. Furthermore, I don’t believe that the water-cooled engines are set at a 45 degree angle, I think they are closer to 60 degrees, which looks quite strange and wont fool anybody.
