2011 Blackline dies in flight

Hi , new member here . I recently purchased a 2011 Softail Blackline . Today when I was riding it died on me and the red security light was on solid .
Unfortunately I had no tools , so I just waited awhile and finally it restarted and the security light was off . I replaced the battery in the fob , but still have the same issue . Please help !

Welcome to The Forum Mike, start with a load test of your bikes battery, make sure your cables are clean and tight

Thank you Justjake ! I recently replaced the battery and the cables are clean and tight. I can load test the battery , but it cranks plenty fast and I doubt the battery is a problem.

Do all your lights work?

This is one of the reasons the red light comes on, is your charging system testing OK?

Sorry that it took so long for me to respond ! Seems that I was overthinking the problem . The problem got to the point that the bike would not start , I found that I had no fuel pressure . Upon removing the plate on the tank , I found that the strainer for the fuel pump had disintegrated ,probably jamming up the pump . I cleaned the tank and replaced the pump , regulator and filter . Bike has been fine since .
