Yes geezer and Jeff.....
When it gets DOWN close to 72* outside temps here in SE Az. at 4400 feet, I look for my Long Sleeve shirt to cover my cut-off-@shoulder shirt, allowing Olive tanned arms...
I think back when up in Western Wa. a few years ago, 72* was considered HOT and no heavy leathers needed until FROST was Out...:rofl
Rode below freezing up there many rides...
Favorite of wife and mine was a Chilling Event... The Olympia Children's Toy Ride... usually the First Sat in Dec.
We Headed form Enumclaw to Tacoma picking up riders along the way (most of them unknown to us, but riders) They Joined IN and on down to Lacy we rode.
Ice was present in Most spots along the way...
Many THOUSANDS of MCs gathered at a BIG parking lot staging area @ Capitol Mall in Lacy...
Highways into Olympia were TOTALLY SHUT DOWN for this event AND Hundreds of POLICE ESCORTED this Ride into Olympia...
Thousands of people, with their Families Lined the Highway for miles to Watch a Bike Parade (IT WAS That)...
High-Fiving and Praising the bikers that rode from that Over Full parking lot... Bikes @ 3 and 4 abreast and ALL bikes loaded down with Gifts for the Marine Semi-vans.
(Marines Collecting toys at the end of the ride at the State Capitol in Olympia)
There is Where WE could have used
Electric Clothes
(geezer's were made in Tumwater Wa.)
BUT being STUBBORN to the core back then and still am...
Black Leather-uped is all we did...
Still brings a Tear to my eyes JUST Remembering this Wonderful Annual Tradition.
We went many times and looked forward to a DRY cold Day... Sometimes it was Dry, BUT ALWAYS COLD...
