Try replacing the battery in the buttonless fob now, as your alarm automatically activates if the proximity detector in your bike does not pick up it's prescence. In some ways, that is why I am happy with my button type fobs on my 2004 up to 2006 Sportsters, for that reason...I can choose to activate it or not, or I can program it to auto-activate which I like to do myself.
