What model and maker was your previous weak amp ?

Maybe i could start with good 100 Watt waterproof speakers like you did, and a 20$ chinese amp. But after reading you, i'm afraid 20$ amp will be too low.
If things goes wrong with the amp, i would only loose 20$.
Then later if needed i could go with an Alpine one.

I bought an Alpine IDA x200head unit, it was designed for reading digital media, like a thumb drive (which I currently use) or an iPod. It is also a radio receiver. 17 watts x 4. It puts out decent for an enclosed space, but to get the most for the speakers, I have been told to bump up the power.
