Removing the 6 bolts are replaced with no stress on the gasket. No leaks. The cross brace will be stronger after installing the kit.

does anyone know if older bikes had the wobble. I have a 98 RK and don't notice anything but admittedly I new to the Harley world.

I drove a 1990 FLHS for about 5 years and sometiimes at up to very high unrecommended speeds and never ever felt a wobble condition. ( unlike my 08)
