My criteria... Curving, scenic, lonely, with scattered small towns to pass through along the way. They can be found in every state.

Route 66, from coast to coast!

Try W. Va. I don't think there is more than a mile of straight road on any state or county road. Route 12 over Lolo pass in Idaho. The Natchez Trace Pkwy. in Tn. The Bear Tooth hwy. Wy. to Mt. The million $ hwy. Durango to Ouray Co. These are just a few not enough time and spaceto list all. My wife and I have ridden in all of the lower 48 and every state has at least one good road to ride.

The trip you just took me on was WONDERFUL.

I never been there BUT liked the ride. Knowing the pictures you have posted in the past and the description of the realigned a century ago (but scenic) was for the most part not welcomed until I got into the Contours Of The Land again, It really is a NICE RIDE!:newsmile036: Thanks!

If you are in New England then try Rt. 100 in Vermont. It was voted by Yankee Magazine as the top scenic road in New England. Lots of farmland, rolling hills & quaint little towns from the Canadian border all the way to the Massachusetts border. You won't be disappointment.
