Big Bend Road Trip

The photography is my wife, the co pilot , she loves it. We did the 370 miles the first day from San Antonio it was worth it to get to Alphine, there is a place called the highland hotel, good clean rooms for 50 dollars a night you can't beat it, the best time to go is october& november or april & may otherwise it is too hot!

Well, your wife has a wonderful talent for photography! I appreciate the info. We have friends who live in Kerrville. I think a visit to see them when the Bluebonnets are blooming along with an excursion to the Big Bend area with an overnite stay in Alpine would be a great trip. Got me rearing to go!

man, that brings back some memories. Spent 10yrs in Austin as a younger lad and did a bunch of backpacking in Big Bend Nat'l Park. Chicuauan Desert in the basin and the lower range of the Rocky Mountains in the elevations. That area is a silent, rugged beauty. Great pics and great job on the video - and appreciate the trip back down memory lane -
