Thanks gents for all your input. The indy took it apart and it had .001" runout of the shaft. The tensioners had approx 1/32" chain width grooves in both of them. He used the old support plate and pump, ran the motor vents into the intake to get rid of the slight amount of oil weeping out of the breather. The oil was changed every 2-3k miles,redline 20-50 std. synthetic motor oil from the start. 06 bike has 31k miles on it, and looks like I could have gone another 25k easy on the tensioners. I would think the worse the shaft runout is the quicker the tensioner material would wear, as the chain would hop as it rotated and it would act like a hammering action.
