Chrome Mid frame wind deflectors

Mongo; Have you seen these? They are called reflective smoke. Sorta look chromy in some pics. AirMaster® Reflective Smoke Saddle Shields for '09-'12 Touring Models | Küryakyn

I have their clears on my Electra, overpriced for plastic but I can feel a difference.

Yeah, I've seen those on a friend’s bike. Almost but no cigar.
All I'm looking for is a chrome attachment that covers the black plastic. This seems to me to be an opportunity for someone to make some coin.
Kyuryakyn sells some ornimental ABS chrome doo dads but its not what I'm looking for. I may end up making a set. If they turn out nice I may may some extra sets and sell them here.:newsmile026:

My 2 cents
I dont think there are any metal ones as they would conduct the heat to easily to the inner thigh.

Perhaps, but if they are mounted on top of the OEM plastic deflectors it will be well insulated from any heat and not pose any issues. In addition, if they are made of ABS there would be even less of a chance of radiated heat. IMHO

Have you gone to Zoood's nice "No Fried Thighs" website. He makes the real nice ones that match the studs, black vinyl/leather look over rugged formed aluminum. I had them within a week and mounted them in about 15 minutes to my Sportster and they work and look great! :D

NO MORE FRIED THIGHS!!!

My installation is shown below:

Guess again. My deflectors are made of aluminum. Im the first out there with them. Since August 2002.

What sets my aluminum deflectors apart from what you just mentioned. Is their shape for deflecting heat down and away from the rider and also recirculating some air flow back on the rear cylinder for more circulation. I bonded the surface of our aluminum heat deflector's with the same vinyl that the motor company uses to cover their seats. This becomes an additional heat barrier. Many a time I have been asked to make heat deflectors that were chrome plated or even painted to match the bike. But without the vinyl as a barrier. That surface would be too hot. It would be like the chrome factory heat shields the motor company puts over their exhaust pipes. Though those radiate heat. They just arent as hot as the raw pipe and aid in not having your flesh stick to the exhaust pipe.

I've tried to find a Chrome Mid frame wind deflector. The concept seems so simple but I can't seem to find one.
I have found chrome trim for the stock Chrome Mid frame wind deflectors.
Anyone know of a Chrome Mid frame wind deflector that is for sale?

I think those are heat shields. Check out this site, someone on here makes them in chrome. The ones that are on my bike are plastic but chrome plated. Hope this helps you out.
