You could try Extreme. Most tire and wheel stores sell it. Used on polished wheels and works wonders.

Mothers has always worked well, not too pricey and is easy to use.

Once you get the clear coat off, simichrome works but you have to stay up on it because you have removed the protective coating

I agree that Mothers is good, have used it allot on wheels. The price is good too!

And after you are finished do not apply clear coat, cause next time you will have to strip the c/c off again.

A professional in a climate controlled booth can. As far as anyone else doing it I don't gather it's a good idea. I remember when I was a teenager some guy did his tank with a rattle can and it looked great, like the best wax job you ever saw. So all the rest of us followed along doing the same thing. Then 6 months later after enough sun exposure we all had alligator crack finishes on our tanks.
