Coughing thru the carborator

I have a thunder max box and a factory fuel injected carborator

If it's fuel injected, you have no jets first of all, you have injectors. It's called a throttle body not a carburetor.

Take a pictire with the air filter off and post it here.

That's delphi fuel injection, no jets there, just fuel injectors.

So what do you suggest I do to get rid of the cough?

Not knowing what's causing it from here, it may be an issue with the T max more than likely.

Thank you, I am going to have it removed. I am going to get longshots vance and hines and when I have them installed I will have them install the chip that goes with them. Do you think this will take away the cough?

Instead of the "chip" (download) that will cost about $150. I would get thew TFI and do it yourself for just a few more $$$ and it can be set better than the lean download from the dealer.

If I purchase the TFI and do it myself, do I keep the T Max on there? Will this help my gas mileage?

T Max comes off and the stock ECM (if you have it) goes back on in it's place.
