Do you oil a new Arlen Ness air filter

The filter was red when it came out of the box but it felt dry like it had never been oiled. I will lightly oil it tonight with the oil from my K&N kit.

If its red, youre all set.When you clean that filter and remove the oil, its white.The red oil is applied to the inside of the filter.Allow it to dry for 20 minutes and visualy inspect the outside of the filter.

The red tint allows you to visualy determin proper coverage.Im sure it wont hurt if you choose to add more oil.

K N are good to go out of the box, no need to oil them until your first service. JMO:s
