Dunlop or Metzeler

I'm 800 miles in to the Metzler 888's. So far, I'll not be going back to dunlop.

Dunlops, they are readily available and sticky compound

I'm running a set of Metzler Lasertecs on my Sportster and I love them. The Dunlops ran out too quick. These Lasertecs are wearing very well and have excellent traction. I'm happy with them.

Don't get me wrong, the Dunlops weren't bad tires, they just didn't seem to hold up as well.

I don't ride too aggressively either (past that stage in life).

I went from Dunlop 402 and was getting on average 8,000 miles on rear tire based on running 3 sets in a row. For no apparent reason other than to try something different I changed to Metzeler ME888 and as of now I am averaging just over 10,000 miles on the last 2 sets and getting ready to throw on the 3rd rear. The fronts are lasting me 2:1 and I am happier with the grip. JMO

Ive been paying close attention to all these Tired Threads,because ill need to repleace tires before the summer is over with!!! I think im going back with the Dunlops!!!!!

My second set are nearing their end and I'm sticking with my Dunlops!

I went with the Metzlers, couldn't be happier. No more crack chasing.
