Thanks for the recommendations. During some of the longer trips, having to be on a freeway for any length of time, tunes would help. The earbuds stay in using a half helmet?

I use my Shures with a half helmet no problem. The Sennheiser 300's should too (and they're an excellent suggestion for a better budget). I'm a bit of an audio geek, so I get carried away with purity. It's a curse really.

True...I paid a pretty penny for that noise...probably should enjoy ut.

Given the noise level from engine, wind, etc, you'll have to turn them up very loud just to get over the noise level -guaranteed to cause ear damage. Same goes for in-helmet speakers. Same problem on a flight by the way.

Between my pipes and the wind noise at higher speeds I have to turn the music up really loud to hear it clearly. With the Sennheiser's it's better, but not good enough.
