Hoople I think the heat management strategy is still the same for 09 as it was for 04 & later, have not seen anything stating a change on Dyna models.

Hoop,don't think it's available for your bike..only on touring models.

the ETIMS is only on the touring bikes - it has yet to filter down to softails and dynas

I had to run an experiment.

It was bugging me that in my SEST menu under "set-up" I could click ETIMS "on" or "off". It was Not "grayed" out as in "I don't have the feature".
So I clicked it ON and saved it to the ECM. I then disconnected the cylinder temp sensor and wired in a potentiometer so I could dial in the temp the ECM thought the engine was at. Started it up. I could fake it into thinking it was cold and the engine would idle up with choke. I then told the ECM the cylinder temp was +280 +300, +310 +320 and finally pegged it to ?. Guess what.. (well you already know).. it just sat there and ran at 1000 RPM. No dead rear cylinder or lowered RPM.

Just thought I would let you know with concrete proof you are indeed correct. It is not on the Dyna.
