Engine tic

I am geographically challenged WRT Canada; have no idea where Alberta is. I know a very good tuner in Nanaimo, Lonewolf Performance, but I have looked and see his shop is quite a ride away from you; looks like 1000 miles. I will contact him and inquire about other tuners in the area and who he would recommend; I trust him. Stay tuned in.

I have a short list of questions that you should ask a potential tuner before handing your bike over to them but will hold off on providing them until you need them; you will not need them if you opt to use a tuner Lonewolf recommends.

Good

PMd Lonewolf; he is not aware of tuners in the Albera area but has offered to take a look at the "Screaming Eagle" tuner but we need to know if the tuner is the SESPT or the Street Tuner? If you can down load the tune and send me the file, we can have him take a look at it to see if the tic is fuel or timing related. If you are interested in at least getting some knowledgeable feed back from a competent tuner, let me know.

He has sold his dyno to a shop about 45 minutes north of Nanaimo and is getting the new guy up to speed. Many of his customers come from various locations on the island, I suppose, because there is a lack of independent dyno operators on the island. It is possible to find a competent tuner at a dealership, I know a couple in south Texas but they are very rare. Let me know if you want to pursue this path with Lonewolf; he is will to help as much as he can.
I would really appreciate the help for sure. I’m attaching a pic of the timer I have so there is no confusion. I’ll look into how to download the tuner and send it to you. Would it be easier to do all of that through email?image.jpg

If you can download the tic tune and email me the file, I can send to Lonewolf for recommendations. If he sees something that he thinks will improve the state of tune, he can edit the file, assign a new name to save the tic tune, send it back and you can load the revised tune and see how it goes. Do you know how to data log? If you do and could log the data when the detonation presents, that would be great but no worries if that isn't possible.

I have no idea if this is going to help but according to Lonewolf, you are SOL when it comes to finding a competent tuner in your area. He has customers that come from your area and others areas for a tune. Some make the ride and others trailer their bikes and stay over night.

That dolt is a stand up guy!!! I haven't need bike advice for a while, but I LOVE to see that dolt is willing to put in the time and effort to offer up such great advice and assistance to others! Thanks dolt for all you do!

Hey Dolt, I have finally got the file downloaded(my dad had to come do it for me as I am very computer illiterate at the best of times)to a USB and can email it to you. How/where would you like me to send it to?

Thunb drive is OK. Lonewolf wants to see both files so it is important to name files distinctly so he knows the "tic" file from the "saved" file. Is the saved file the "factory" file? Is there a reason why the file cannot be emailed? Too big? Obviously, this process is going to take a while as I have to snail mail the file to Lonewolf.

Oh I will email it for sure, I just didn’t know how to get it from the program to an emailable file. From the USB I can figure that part out for sure.
