Great story & good timing b/c everyone's dusting off the bike(s) & getting out for rides between weather fronts. Kudos to your wife on getting through some rough riding - hate windy days, but we'd get few in NE if we wait for calm. Give her some brownie points for sticking with the ride & gaining great experience w/windy riding conditions.

I sometimes ride 15 20 miles out of my way to avoid a bridge like that and its only a half mile long. The alternative though is a nice road rolling through some hills along the mississippi. The bagger is not so bad but the bridge hates the 21 on my wide glide.

Awesome ride, and congrats to the misses... wife and I rode that bridge on Friday and she said it was memorable without the wind we had on Saturday (was out riding around Richmond / Orange on Saturday, some of those gusts were pretty intense).
