I have seen flange nuts that have a little 12 point wrench that slips on the flange nuts and a c clip attaches to the nut and the little wrench will stop the nut from backing off. J&P #440-583 for evo and tc engines, $12.00

A dab of "blue" thread locker can't hurt. Sometimes I wonder how much ofmy bike is held together by that stuff:D
 
I'm with Breeze on this one. You wouldn't think this would be a routine maintainence issue, but I have noticed these little guys loosen up after a few rides even though I've replaced the stock with ss and lock washers, tighten them to 120" pounds. The back cylinder is the main culprit on my bike.

OK, now I got'a look at mine. :D
