First Ride in 2011...Not so Good NEED HELP!

Just wondering if you had a battery tender hooked up during the off season.

I would start to think more about that led fuel guage that goes erratic just before things go for the worse.

Right before anything happens the headlight dims and the fuel guage goes crazy

This is the part that gets me, if the headlight dims and fuel gauge goes crazy either you have a bad connection or something is shorting out somewhere. I know that is very little help, but if it were my ride, I would start tracing wires.

Good news is that in my panic I now have a pint of seafoam in my garage for the next winter.

All things happen for a reason - or a season.

When I first got my Sporty, it had a sporatic problem that seemed to be fuel related. Turned out to be the ignition module.

Just something to keep in mind in case the issue returns after running through a couple tanks of fuel.

And I also had the cables come loose as well that resulted in similar experiences. Gave everything a good cleaning and reconnected. Good to go!
