you might have to let the lead mechanic drive your bike for a while. better to do that ,and have the problem happen to him, than get hurt yourself later on. just thoughts. good luck
can you get to the schrader valve on the fuel rail without taking off the fuel tank? if you can then you could carry a fuel gage with you; and when the engine quits, leave the ignition switch on and let the engine cool down; then check the fuel pressure in the fuel rail.
you may have to do a dry run( in your drive way with the engine cold) just to see what goes . that will make the (beside the road) testing easier. how about a clip-on timeing light, that might help in seeing if you have spark.
