Not to worry...bars can be rotated up and towards rider easily...no biggie. The real deal is to get proper seat to mate with the new tank...be it Solo or 2-Up.
i have a 07 sporty and went from the 3.3 tank to a 4.5 with no problems with anything hitting ...just had to change to a different seat as the 4.5 was wider and longer
