Shaw's Fish & Lobster Wharf State Route 32 New Harbor ME. Scenic pier, great lobster.
Horsefeathers North Conway NH. Great food and atmosphere.
Wentworth Jackson NH. Five star dining in a historic old hotel.
Any of the Common Man restaurants. A small NH chain all excellent.
Hemingway's Killington VT Another five star restaurant in the VT mountains.
Hot Biscuit Ticonderoga NY. Best strawberry shortcake anywhere.
Prospect Mountain Diner Lake George NY. Best breakfast and lunch in town.

Here are a few of my picks.
1- The Shed BBQ, Hiway 53 Orange Grove, Ms. Fantastic BBQ
2- The Love Shack, Old Biloxi Rd. Woolmarker, Ms. Best hand made burgers around. Cooked over an open fire!
3- Mortons Seafood, Madisonville. La. Great seafood and a wonderful view of the river.
4- The House of Seafood, AKA The House of Pain. Bush, La. Seafood buffet. Anything you can imagine. If it swims, slithers or crawls it is probably on the buffet.
5- Val Monte Steak House, Guntersville, Al. Haven't been there in a few years but it had the best steaks I ever had.

Hands down the best Prime Rib I've ever had, and I've spent many years looking for anything better. From Vicksburg MS cross the river on I-20 (I think) take the first exit immediately after crossing the river and curl up under the bridge, white building. Family owned place called Maxwells.
You owe it to yourself to get a cold beer and the Prime Rib.
