Got to Sit on a O.C. Chopper yesterday

The bike shop that I buy my tires, oil, ect. from has an OCC for sale there. It is a ok looking bike but it is not a bike that you would want to hope on for a long ride. Just maybe around town for a short ride. I will stick with my Harley!

There was one at Bruce Rosmyers in Daytona. They wanted over 100k for it. Did not spend much time looking though and you could not sit on it.

Well... The attention to detail left something to be desired...Surprisingly so.
The tank looked like it was made in a High school shop class.
The seat didn't even fit on the frame.
The chrome mirrors and bits was the same stuff anybody can buy through JP cycles.
There were just lots of things I wouldn't expect to find on a $50,000 bike.
The tiny rear turn signals were cool as hell. I never saw those before.
The paint was done well.

That's because Nub does awesome work. Someone of his caliber would never work AT OCC, but I'm sure he doesn't mind sending them the bills for his work.

The OCC Bikes were on display all of August here at Bally's casino in Atlantic City N.J. I wanted to make it over for a day and check out the bikes, but it never happened. Labor day weekend, Paul Sr was in person the last day and was raffling off a bike. It was called meet the maker win the bike. I did see the trailer come into town at the end of July when I was over there, but I could not see inside the truck to see if the OCC guys were in there, cause the windows were smoked.

I do enjoy the show when I catch it from time to time. These guys are living the life, they are doing lots of traveling making tons of dough and meeting all the celebrities. I think that these guys are pretty for real, they are just being themselves, I think it is kind of funny when they start trashing thier cars and trucks out in the parking lot. I did how ever lose a little respect for Paul Sr when he built the Reindeer bike and was driving it in the Christmas parade :11:. I know it was a good cause, but it was really corny..

There are so many Custom builders out there ranging from out of this world Art work bike to some pretty hot ridable bikes to many short distance bar hop bikes.
In 2006 I almost got reeled in by Iron Horse. I was at Fort Knox and there is an Iron Horse deal near there I had flew in to get some presurgey tests done and had a couple days to kill. i was going thought some serious thinking about my life and how quickly it can fade. Then I SAW IT a 2006 Iron Horse OUTLAW in the coolest red I had ever seen. Remember thing I could die happy if I got a chance to ride that thing.
The back tire was bigger than my cars tires it was cromed to max and right hand drive.
I was as high as a kite.
I called home told wife I would be riding home not flying. 26,000 plus tax I did not care one bit it's mine.
For some reason I decided to do a Demo ride the dealer checked me out he fired up a bike and then put me on one just like I wanted. Wow did I feel cool on that bike it fit me like a glove and starting it with the 110 engine and pipes my blood was pumping.
Into gear out with the clutch and we rode off.
I am glade I have been riding awhile as cool as that bike was the more we rode the more I realized that that bike was a bar hopper a cool looking over powered short ride dream machine.
I flew home. Still see that bike in my dreams but that is all it was. And someday may paint my fatboy that color. Thats all OCC and jesses bikes are . 2007 wife bought me a New RoadGlide may not look as cool and is brite shade of look at me Orange not that great red, but a much finer bike. and 7000 dollars less.

Be glad you didnt buy it, even if it was a bar hopper. talk about a (EDIT:newsmile055also the Big dogs have just a bad a track record, although not as bad as the bancrupt AI. the american ironhorse are/were manufactured near me, and they were sold at Rick Fairless's Strokers Dallas. Was funny going in back and seeing 20-30 bigdogs and ironhorses waiting for service, for stupid stuff like front headlights falling off, Heat shields flying off, bad starters, leaking primaries...etc, all this on new bikes. with that being said, they look really cool, and offered some amazing paint schemes....

The paint is probably the most impressive part of ANY of the OCC theme bikes. They've had several great guys doing their paint, most lasted a year or so, then they moved on to something else.


I dig watching the program, but 75% is just dross you have to wade through to see some interesting engineering going on. Let's face it, most of the stuff Paul junior does is just plain trinkets and baubles. And I don't want to see them doing family stuff, taking grandma to church, visiting stores, Wendy's, going clay shooting etc.

I stopped in their store upstate NY and looked over the bikes they built. I was not impressed at all with the quality, lots of glitz and bobbles but the actual bike wasn't anything to admire. If they had built a bike for me that looked like any of the ones in their overpriced store, I wouldn't take it for half the price.

This is the one. A microsoft themed custom. I didn't ride it but I got to check out their work up close. Needless to say, it was an education...
