Root Beer.....time to change out your 09 Hertiage to RK in your title when you get a few. Also, i'd like to hear your impressions of the difference between the two bikes.

I thought it was changed......
I love the ride of the King. Everything from the posture to the handling to the 180 rear wheel. I made the switch mainly because the opportunity presented itself. Couldn't resist price. My wife likes to ride with me a lot, and I heard from a lot of friends the ABS was worth it, not to mention the cruise control. But the "ride" itself is more comfortable. The only gripe I have is the handlebars, but I will be changing those this winter. I feel like I'm driving an 85 Cadilac Coupe DeVille down the highway. The heritage, while great on looks, lacked in seat position, I'm 5'8". Also, scraped the floor boards a lot. Bags were starting to sag too. Very impressed with the 103" motor on the King too, smooth. If you are thinking about making the move I recommend it.

Thanks for the feedback Root Beer King. The guys I know down here use the Heritage bars when they upgrade to Road Kings.

Wanted to know why harley sometimes only puts a color out for one year.......for example, my root beer?

My guess would be not much changes model year to model year for a couple of year cycles other than minor details, The MOCO steps in and offers a few NEW colors to entice buyers, That said the paint shop offers more choices in paints JMO

I went crazy trying to purchase a 2013 Heritage in blue, Harley does not offer the color blue unless you go for the 2 tone in 2014. I got tired of chasing a ghost and settled for a 2011 Heritage in Merlot. The Merlot looks black, brown or burgundy depending on how the light hits it. Actually the Merlot is a cool color. This is my first Harley and am hooked. Perhaps in a few years if Harley has another blue I like in the Road King I may upgrade.
