Robin Mead just told me that HD is going to repair the bike for the owner at no charge.

Great idea for Harley to fix it up.The guy is living in a shelter and lost two in his family. Can really use the help.Thats what the news said.

this story actualy made the tv news...I would have never believed it.

They reported that Harley would ship it back to the kid and a local shop will referbish it. You would think the publicity the MoCo is getting, they would trade with him a new one.

Hmm . . . if I were in his shoes I'd love to have -my- H-D back . . . given the circumstances there, I'd -never- sell that bike!
