If you hover your mouse over the 'Community' tab, you will see 'friends and contacts'. By sending friend requests to my fellow Mainers, it puts you in my friend/contacts page. I can use this to keep track of my fellow local riders. So, for example, if I am going to be riding up along the coast some weekend and happen to be travelling through Bangor, I might give you a shout to see if you want to ride or meet up for a coffee as I pass through. You can easily friend/unfriend as well.

I'm not sure of all of the members, but there is a Maine roll call thread that may show where many Mainers are from. (I think most are near Augusta)
