I'm interested to find out. My 07 has allen screws where your blanks are.

interesting, some import cars use shear bolts on the ignition switches ie tamper proof ;-) usualy move with a punch n hammer or notch it and turn with a screwdriver

Really sad when you have to take a drill to your bike...I hope you will replace that disposable fastener with something descent, like a shouldered trim screw or the like that will "nest" in the relief cavity. Sounds like a trip to the local hardware store is in order if you work on your 2009 RK riser...
