Me and the wife ride about 14,000 miles a year on our 01 Softail. Absolutely love it. Make sure you get her the passenger floorboards.

Amen to the passenger floor boards. My wife finds them to be more comfortable than the pegs.

I'll chime in on the Heritage as well.

Having owned a Sportster 1200, a Dyna Low Rider, a Road King Classic, a Softail Deluxe, and Softail Springer Classic (just to mention a few), I would say my Heritage is the best of the bunch....
