Ignition fuse blown twice

Hello, I have a long story. Electricaly speaking, made a purchase at a convenience store, turned ignition switch on and notice red key light stayed on(i have no security system no key fob), but press starter button and engine is spinning but not fire up and i go my merry way 20 minutes of google saying my key fob battery dead i found out check ignition fuse and wahlah lucky i had spare fuse and started fine. But hmmm why fuse blow? When fuse blow? Ignition switch? Pinch wires on right side handlebar switches? I Never try fix issue. Well few months later i hadbdriven in rain, and usually i cover my ride but just lazy 1 nighr it poured down but drove to work a few days and wham the 3rd day i was driving to work in morn also dewy wet morning but also i blipped the throttle kinda spazzing out behing this slow ******* but engine just shut off no sputter no warning nothing so i coast to side of road as far i could this 08 FLSTC is (EDIT) near 950 pounds im 169 string bean im lucky it was flat area to push into a autoparts parking lot oit of the way. Check ignition fuse and sure nuff blown swap fuse and i thought gonna not be late for work. NOT. No start engine lots of cranking over, but fuel pump not prime. Had codes for crank sensor, then later threw other codes for injector open
. After i replaced fuel pump for fun, i got tired have new fuel pump in storage to install so i put pump on and nothing, found out later the 4pin electrical connector had fallen off i never connected it properly so i connected it i could see it was kinda loose too. But any way it was towed finaly fixed myself. 4pin fuel pump connector was loose and ignition switch was wet.

Electrical connection problems can be a challenge to figure out and glad that you have been able to find it.
I would add di electric grease to as many connections you can.
These connectors should be waterproof so look into the connector to see if the rubber seal is missing and find a replacement if it is missing.

Thanks for that reply..

Good on you for the fix, dilectric grease is the best protection against moisture and water intrusion
