Kuryakyn Mini Boards

Surprisingly enough, your HD dealer might carry them in stock as they are very popular items and long ago they learned Küryakyn carries some good stuff.
Hobbit should own stock in the company for all his referrals. :ap

Website: Küryakyn

BTW JLoomis19 I was thinking the same thing...if you put them on as your passenger boards, take pictures and let me know how your riding partner likes them. As you know from my earlier post I am thinking of replacing the Küryakyn rear pegs for ISO wings to give me more maneuvering room when she is out back and I need to "paddlewalk" the bike at gas stops, and improve her comfort (she hasn't complained about the pegs), but I would think they offer more support and small end still hooks the heels when going over bumps.

Yeah, definately will. I know I need them, bc the future wifey has been complaining the pegs hurt her feet. So after I replace the seat Im definately getting them, and Ill get some pics up and let u know how she likes them.

hey newhd74fan:

don't want to change the subject but, do you like your windshield and
is your sporty lowered. it looks real nice!!!!!!! i've only had mine for
a couple of months and just started doing mods. been thinking about
the crash bar also. i am 6'1" 250 and my forward controls don't let my
legs straighten out on long runs. I'd like to lay it back a little more.
thanks for the info in advance

I installed the Kuryakyn swing pegs in place of the rider foot pegs. When folded they look like a mini floor board and when open you can extend your legs out about 4 or 5 inches. Really high quality, lots of chrome and rubber anti-slip pads for both positions. I can try to upload a pic if you want to see how they look. There's a good pic on Dreamcycle web site.

Thanks Animal, you are correct, the windshield is the slightly smoked HD Quick Release slightly shorter than standard one and is approx. 3" below my sight horizon...which is right for me being 5' 6" and all of 135 lbs. And yes, it has been lowered approx. 1 1/2" both front forks and rear shocks (both by Progressive) and an additional 1 1/2" due to the Drag Specialties Flame Pattern two-up touring seat being slightly lower for the and narrower (I did put a sheepskin gel pad) so pillion is more raised and padded so helmets don't clash at stops. :D

With the forwards and my heels hooked to the Mapam foward pegs my knees are very slightly bent, and just clear the air cleaner on the right side, and I recently used the upper footrests on the Lindby bars on the long straight Hwy 101, the back of my knees just clears the top of the air cleaner and I was almost fully "reclined" in my version of a touring barco-lounger... :lolrolling

Re: Iso Wings

Took my Sporty out for a blast this arvo - first time out in nearly 2 weeks as I was away on holiday with my family. Went out into the countryside and was enjoying some twisties when something felt funny on my left foot side. The Iso Wing was loose and spinning around on its axis. This happened really acutely and made gear changing a bit of a challenge.

Two lessons to self:
1 get a little toolbag for the bike to carry a few bare essentials

2 if you have Kuryakyn Iso Wings, take out the little hex fastener at the leading edge of the board which fixes it on its axis and put some Loctite Blue (or Red if you feel brave) and tighen her up. I did this to both as soon as I got home. :D:D

Other than that, I'm liking them very much. They are very comfortable and give your legs a lot more space to move than pegs.

I like the Kury Swing Wings and also the Switch Blade pegs. The Swing wings feel like boards when closed but have to be opened while stopped, but the Switch blades fold open easily while in motion.
