The strap also covers the slot used for riders backrest. Makes it look more complete if left on with no backrest.

Remove it,then if you want handles you can get the chrome ones that come out from beside the seat like they had on the 05:s

My wife uses them and they look good too.

I think its some kind of a DOT law they have them there. They are pretty much useless in my book!

i have the chrome handles and strap on my ultra as the wife use them to stay comfy as her legs arent the best working parts
