I've been waiting for over 25 Years, now it's here. My 2009 Softail Custom. I'm the only owner, I guess these didn't move off the show room floor very well 'cause H-D dropped them in 2011. I'll be scratching my head over that one for a while. What ever the reason, it suits me fine! It also means I have something a little unique.
From the dealer I had the spoke rear rim, the handle bar tach, and the factory security options added, (it was on another dealer's floor without). The color is Harley's "Red Hot Sunglo", I couldn't be happier with the color after deciding on it, sight unseen. Also sprung for the "Thermo-Dipstick". Thank You, Chris, Matt, Steve and Jess at Oakland Harley Davidson for all your help. There were more than a few bumps from "Done Deal" to Delivery, in the end, it's what I wanted.
Ordered an EJK from Dobeck Performance this morning, Thank You, Dallas! No immediate mods planned for the motor, still researching, (if anyone has a suggestion for aftermarket slip-ons that look like the factory, Please, let me know!)
Another, BIG, THANK YOU! for the members of this forum for answering all of my questions, (so far)!
Noodled around for the better part of the day trying to figure out the mounting of my luggage rack. Would have made more progress if the neighbors would stop dropping in to talk about my new bike. I guess I need to get used to it.

A Whopping 250 miles so far...many more to come.
