I know I have been quite lately, I've been pretty busy taking care of my parents these days. They are about 3 hours away in WV so I've been going back and forth every other weekend. I also broke my arm May 16th(radial head & damaged ulnar ligament). That didn't heal so I had surgery for that today. I posted the link below if you want to check out my follies. :D There is an animated video on their page if you choose to look at that. There isn't any blood so I could watch it. (I did flunk myself out of nursing school because you can break an arm and I'll throw up.) But Paddington is right here to be my couch coach the next few weeks. Start therapy next week, that should be fun. At least I'm on the road to full recovery now. This pretty much knocked me out of nearly all the fun stuff over the summer. ;)

Sorry you had to go through this, but.... I think it's amazing what medical science has done for joint and limb replacement. Being a 19 year knee replacement subject, the fully articulating joints have kept me going with zero problems so far.
Good luck with your recovery and do your physical therapy because the quality of movement depends on it.

Thank you all for the support and well wishes.

I watched a bit of the video, I get the willies seeing invasive medical stuff. I hope your recovery is fast and smooth.

I completely understand. I can sometimes watch animations, but that isn't always the case. Of course you tube has the real deal, but I didn't even try those.

I agree, it is amazing what they can do these days. When I had my right thumb operated 3 years ago, my doctor asked me if i had any questions and I said "yeah, how do they come up with these solutions?' He said it was a great question but he didn't have the answer to that. I am absolutely doing the therapy, and even using the spirometer through tomorrow, even though I don't think I need it since I'm up and moving. ;) My dad hates that. I am moving my fingers as instructed, but I am very aware of the ligament that got repaired. :(

I graduated from the immobilized post op wrap to a hinged brace yesterday. That came with the freedom to move my arm as much as I can tolerate, but with a consequence of a new pain level. :O But I am doing my PT as instructed, but wow, it's amazing at how weak i feel after just 5 days! I realize I had a lot of trauma in my arm, but to have had 80# grip strength in that arm a week ago, the little stress ball is now safe in my left hand. :p:p But on a brighter note, the therapist was very happy with my ROM in my wrist & shoulder, so I really only have to work on strengthening my arm in general, which will come in time & getting my elbow to full flexion & extension again. But again, the therapist said I was over half way there in both directions. I can't say I was fully comfortable reaching those points, but it is all part of the process.
