Looking for advice

I just put 1,100 miles on riding around in the Smoky Mountians on my stock 07 FXSTC seat over 3-days. The seat was no problem. I had a sissy bar T-Bag in the passanger seat behind me that I could lean my back on. The lower back support made all the difference. It was like riding in a comfy chair. Rode for 7 hours straight the first day with only stops for gas. I am 56, in fair health and woke each morning no worse for the wear.

I say strap a bag on the seat behind you and save your money for Sturgis. Have a great trip!

I'll have to second the bag option... many folk swear by it as an inexpensive alternative to a backrest but, I have found that just about anything firm but padded back there helps on the longer trips. many also say that the backrest option is something they would never do without after installing one... this I have yet to try as my sporty doesn't offer the driver backrest option and I don't really need one on it either.
