The rest of the story... My trike had the latest software but I downloaded it from the HD site and attempted to upload to my radio. It didn't like it, as a matter of fact, the instructions stated it would take about 7 minutes and after 20 I gave up.

I did find fault codes pertaining to ground and when I talked to the (non) HD dealer I bought it from they said to take it to Harley and they would cover costs.

My HD dealer narrowed it down to internal wiring and replaced the unit and all is well.

Now all I need is to add my XM radio, back in business!
