thanks for the in depth write up scottaudio. sounds like if anyone knows oil and its properties it would be your dad 
after all you guys help and thinking this over a tad it would be a genuine waste of time, money.. and as you stated... oil... to over do the maintenance. There's no upside to overdoing it. Kinda like washing your garage rags (or buying new ones) everytime you wipe up a single drop of oil... heh.

tranny\air filter every 5,000
plugs every 7,500
these #'s still could prob be stretched out a tad going by what you guys say and other misc. info I've read but... they sound about right (and still let me sleep at night
