I have never ran a jap tire on a Harley...just curious do many do this?
The Commander II is made in Thailand. Not sure what the difference is other than it sounds Jap....

None that I am aware of. Avon Tyre is made in England or at least they used to be.
Here is the latest update on new tires. First, I did not know they were made in Thailand probably would have swayed my choice. I am very much a buy in America when possible person. With that being said I just put almost 300 miles on this morning and the tires handled very well. Did they handle better than the dunlops? Not really enough that I would say "oh there is no comparison." So the nest test is to see how well they wear with miles put on them. That may take a while but I will repost when they get to replacement time.
