Oil consumption

For what it is worth, at this point, my oil was showing about half on the dip stick when cold - the local harley mob told me that was about right and where it should be. No more than 3/4 way up the stick when cold. So basically, if that is where your oil is showing, your not using or loosing it - it is where it ought to be

I don't know if that applies to all bikes but it apparently does to my 97 FLSTC.
