Oil Drip from Stator Plug

Did the same thing on a brother-inlaws 01 EG. Worked great!

I had oil leaking out of a nick in the wires going to the stator happen twice on my '00 Road King Classic. Warranty replaced stator. I believe that some oils might break down the coating on the stator and allow the heated & pressurized oil to migrate out the wire.

The oil does in fact migrate out the wire under the insulation but if everything is intact, it doesn't cause a problem.
