Oil Filter...Chrome or Black

I switched to the black a while back, cant really see it and I think it looks better on my ride.

I switched to black a long time ago. When I did, I told the wife and she was quite upset that I would do that, so I told her that if she could point out the 'offensive' black filter, I would switch back. She could not find the filter even though it is right out front, so it's been black ever since.

Crome looks better but Black would will keep your oil cooler. Have tried this out and it works

apoligize for my ignorance on this - but can you expand on your findings? JMO and nothing else - I cant see where either could cool the oil?? just asking

I put chrome on my Dyna & black on my wife's Sportster just so I don't mix them up.

Chrome for me. Just like the look.

Black on the Ultra since it can't be easily seen with the lowers.

Chrome on the Wide Glide.

Chrome, because my FXDC has a lot of it.

On a blacked out bike I would go black filter.
